Working with a small but driven team we strive to make sure we meet customer needs that’s one of the main things I’ve learnt during my time at Heckords. My duties involve processing print ready artwork on the mimaki printers, making up signs for companies such as Wainhomes, Priestly College, sandcastle water park(Blackpool) and many other companies we provide, signs, flags, banners and exhibitions for. Unlike my old job positions I have had the odd occasion to go out and physically see first-hand how the signs and exhibitions go up which has increased my knowledge of the print industry exponentially.

Working with a small team of four sometimes three we manage perform a multiple of tasks at once enabling us to complete tasks on scheduled deadlines. Using my knowledge of operating programmes such as adobe illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign I’m able to use these to my full advantage and produce aesthetically pleasing pieces of work ready for print. Combined with my knowledge of print I’m able to carry out processes from computer design to final product.

Being part of one of the most prestigious vehicle wrapping companies in the UK I had my work set out for me from day one. But I quickly progressed up through the ranks starting with weeding and taping to becoming a lead member in production as well as being given a role as a design finisher. Working with companies such as Malcom’s, Eddie Stobart’s, Yodel, DFS, Royal Mail, DX and many others.

Mostly dealing with local businesses around the Lake District I was brought in to create a bulk of design packages. Whether it be for a hairdressers, clothing boutiques, coffee shops, garden centres and other businesses. I would create and design template packages that could then be used for posters, business cards, vehicle wraps basically whatever your venture requires with businesses starting out or needing a fresh look.
